Tim Federle is an award-winning American writer and former Broadway dancer. He was born in San Mateo, California, and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Federle's debut novel, ''Better Nate Than Ever'', was named a ''New York Times'' Notable Book of 2013. ''Five, Six, Seven, Nate!'', the sequel to ''Better Nate Than Ever'', was named an American Booksellers Association Best Children's Book of 2014 and won a Lambda Literary Award. Federle also writes for adults. His novelty cocktail recipe book, ''Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails with a Literary Twist,'' won the Goodreads Cookbook of the Year award.
